where authenticity meets courage

People seek counseling for a variety of reasons, and maybe you know you need support but aren’t really sure why or can’t quite put your finger on “what’s wrong.” If you’re a woman in midlife, my guess it’s a whole host of things including but not limited to: changes in your body, symptoms you can’t always even name, rage, fear, self-doubt, grief, stress, anxiety (just to list a few…).
Maybe you’re juggling raising children and caring for aging parents. Maybe you’re single and feeling isolated or tired of doing it all on your own. Maybe life just doesn’t look the way you thought it would by now.
Whatever brings you here, I’d like to help.

Brené Brown defines wholehearted living as 'engaging in our lives from a place of worthiness. It means cultivating the courage, compassion, and connection to wake up in the morning and think, ‘No matter what gets done and how much is left undone, I am enough’. It’s going to bed at night thinking, ‘Yes, I am imperfect and vulnerable and sometimes afraid, but that doesn’t change the truth that I am also brave and worthy of love and belonging' (The Gifts of Imperfection).
So often we lose sight of our worth and get in the habit of hustling to earn it. We buy into the culture's scarcity narrative that there's not enough _____ (fill in the blank... time, money, activity); and we are also, therefore, not enough. If I had to name a mission for my life and work, I'd say it's helping women recognize their inherent worth and live into their authenticity. I believe it's how we live our best, most fulfilling lives – "owning our stories and loving ourselves through the process."

You matter. Your story matters. You are worthy of love and belonging.
